I have a question I hope u can answer. Here it is: Is long distance bike riding a good exercise for a person who wants to gain speed for sprint running? well, I would appreciate any answers, thank you.

No for 2 reasons both dealing with specificity:

1) Riding a bike does not improve your running 2) Long distance anything impairs improvement in sprint abilities.

Make it three as I agree with Sam and David. For a runner, long distance bike riding is only good for crosstraining for which it can be quite valuable, but still nothing more than a way to rest your legs while getting a good CV workout. Doug Burke
