Running With A Group

Those of you who have been reading my blog know that I am strictly a fun runner full of admiration for those runners who do serious long runs, training and competitions, for what ever reasons.
Just reading blogs really gets me motivated to go out and have a little run, but in no way could it be said that I am a running junkie or endorphin addict.
I think sticking to a training schedule, and actually working on running, committing yourself, setting goals and so on is an excellent practice ground learning how to set and accomplish goals in real life, and not just meander along.


When I run, I usually run on my own, on a whim.
Jack, However, Who is a serious marathon and long distance runner, runs with groups and clubs for at least part of his runs, and that seems to be a great motivator. (though if you read his blog you can see how much he runs out of the love for running - and the love of endorphins…)
Maybe I should try that - get not one friend to run with, but a bunch of people - maybe that will get me to the place I want to be - and that seems to be pretty much where jack is (not so much in the distances but in the love for running)
