Hey KLM looks like you were on a shopping spree... Those LED lights are very nice, keep us posted on how long the batteries last, I want to know the real stat before I throw down 25 bucks. In response to your racing flats post, I really do need some myself...I have had mine for probably 60 miles of racing but that was track racing, and I am not sure if the faster speeds break down the cushioning faster or what.

RRS is selling the Petzel Zippka. It has 3 LEDs like the Aurora, but from reviews I've read, the Aurora throws a better beam.

I just had a look at it in a shop. While it is bright enough to read and to be more visible, it won't be bright enough to light up dark trails for you to run on.

It is plenty bright enough for running on dark roads; I only need to be able to spot debris, e.g., roadkill, or potholes. I haven't tried it for offroad running in the dark. I'm inclined to think I would only run on trails in natural light.

That's what I'm using it for: dark roads & rail-trails; not mountainous singletrack. Since I used to run roads at night holding a single Photon Microlight, I'm sure the Aurora will be fine. And at 3oz INCLUDING BATTERIES, I'll bet it's as comfortable as headlamps get.

Incidentally, I would do singletrack at night, but I'd only do it with a halogen headlamp.
