damm - I've injured my left leg..

I think I did it last week when I tried out some 'stride's - I switched the treadmill from 12.5kmh to 17.5 kmh and held for perhaps 50-100m then repeated a few more times. I'd already run a couple of miles before trying this so I was warmed up. Since then I've had this pain in my hip. It's Ok at easy pace or walking but intervals or tempo pace make it painful afterwards (not really noticeable during).

The focus of pain is in the crease between leg and groin. Actions like standing on my right leg and rotating the left outwards cause a band of pain around the front of my thigh. If I hug my knee to my chest that is a little uncomfortable too but stretching out the leg behind me when stretching the calf is fine.

Does it sound familiar at all?

I shall rest for a few days, maybe all week and in future approach strides or sprinting by easing into them with gradually increased pace 'surges' rather than my 'lets sprint!' approach.

I'm not familiar with your injury, but I hope you feel better soon.
