Congratulations and SUPER JOB Mark.

Now for a question. What were you running a half marathon in 18 weeks ago? In other words, I've got a little over 3 to train for a marathon and I was wondering if I might be able to sqeak in under a 3:30:59 myself.

Thanks, Roger

Hi David,

I'm in. I already booked my room at the Downtown Boston YMCA (affordable).

Good luck at RNR.

time!

Firstly, congratulations, Mark! I'm already thinking next year's Ottawa Marathon may be my first.... must do a few more half marathons first and up the mileage during the (crappy) winter months.

Yes, an inspirational report. Thanks!

Thanks for the advise and a marathon is certainly one race you want to train for. I was a little disappointed that I didn't train very much for my last 12.5 miler, but I still learned a lot from it.

I think I can take things I learned on my last 'short half marathon' and use it on all my longer races.

I really don't like the idea of being so close to a 3:20 for my first marathon and I'm still not sure what I'll do yet, other than run a few halves first and try to break 1:35 without killing myself.

Roger
