I am running the Paris Marathon on April 8, 2001. I arrive in Paris from Toronto, Canada on Friday April 6th. Does anyone have any advice on the effects of jet lag on marathon performance and what can be done to reduce those effects? Thank you.

There has been a lot of press coverage of deep vein thrombosis and long flights recently. Walk around a lot and keep well hydrated. Drink so much that you have to keep walking to the toilet at the far end of the plane. You might want an aisle seat . Good luck!
