I am 43 years old. I developed knee pain while running - one ortho diagnosed it as a Grade 1 meniscus tear while the other felt it is an IT Band friction syndrome. I have reduce my outdoor activity significantly but the pain in the knee has yet to subside. I have had this condition for over 4 months now. What should I do now. I am not keen to go for arthroscopy as the MRI is inconclusive on meniscus tear.

Hi skaeley, welcome to the forum

I think you should do what the doctors advise you to do. I know that knee 'injuries' can not only be very painful but also long lasting and sometimes incurable. Thus, you should take any test you can in order to find out the precise cause so it can be treated.
