hi, have any of you had experience(s) with corns on feet? i have had one for the past two months. even though it was causing discomfort i continued to run through it and when i was in india last december it seemed to spread (as indicated by the size of black region). i used 'corn plast' (indian) which is nothing but a thick ring with 45% salicylic (sp?) acid ointment in the center. this treatment reduced the size of the affected region drastically. however the pain is still there and this small region does not seem to be cured (i ran out of 'corn plast' and am using dr. scholls corn removers). i need to lenghthen my runs and this corn is getting in the way. any ideas? is there a more effective corn remover? thanks.

I have had 2 right on the ball of my foot for 3 or 4 years. I have given up on getting rid of them.

<if you are eating or get grossed out easily, stop reading at this point!>

...um, yeah anyway, one of them seems to have grown a root that has attached itself to a tendon or whatever that leads from my middle toe. When I am doing my periodic trimming of them, I can feel the 'attachment' when I tug on it (with scissors, trying to dig in there). If I do not do a bi-monthy trimming with added salicylic acid drops (used them once non stop for 4 months - nothing), the callous on the bigger corn grows to the point where my 'connected' toe develops an actual CUT where it connects to the foot, and if I don't relieve the pressure by removing callous, etc, I am convinced my toe would eventually fall off from the ever-growing 'tear'. No word of a lie - it's crazy. I will live with those two forever, I am convinced. Only the larger one is a problem. They both hurt a little after longer runs, but nothing serious at all.
