I have not run in 3 yrs, last real big race was 97 Honolulu marathon Have gained 30 lbs and gettin back into it now First 2 days did 2 and 3 miles, very slow shins are killing me one of reasons i stopped was kept getting shin splints any advice?

Run/walk your distances, shortening the walk interval gradually until your legs come up to speed. If you were a marathoner, you know the ropes!

know what to do coming back, but with a history of shin splints even when I ran 60 miles a weekany advice on what to do there?
