[detailed report snipped]

Excellent run, Keith. Congratulations on qualifying for Boston. You must be well and truly chuffed. Sorry you didn't make your goal time but on the other hand... you qualified for Boston!

Troy,

Ran on the sidewalks. Dodged the pedestrians, but I was just trying to get the legs loose and blood pumping after the flight.

Me too ... I had forgotten about that one.

That's surprising. Hydration was definitely not a problem, though.

The first 5 miles was the least aesthetically pleasing part of the race. But at that point, you're just trying to figure-out your pace ... and it goes by so quickly.

The only really sparse area was between the bridge and Lakewood (about mile 9.5?). That was more of a problem on the way back since the field was so strung out at that point. Plus, we were running into a little bit of a wind.

Some areas weren't exactly beautiful, but I wouldn't say it was boring. Besides, in a marathon, I don't want a course that has 100 turns in it. I just want to lock-in my pace and run.

I truly think the only thing that would make this race better is increasing the size of the field to maybe 3000- 5000 runners. And of course, you can always have more spectators.

Thanks ! I enjoyed your recap of the 10k. You ran a great time too !

I liked it.

-Keith
